Photo Series 3
Written Reflection:
My photos connect past Somerset with present Somerset. The first photograph is of Mary Sherburne Bowers, who was Jerathmael Bower's wife. She lived in Somerset Square, Boston MA before she married Jerathmael Bowers. Bowers actually named the Town of Somerset after his wife's original place of residence. The third photo is a Somerset residence from 1742 and was previously owned by a man who fought in the American Revolution. This wealthy man lost over 100 of his properties due to the revolution but was able to keep this home. I overlaid an American Revolution banner that reads "Join or Die" on it, and used the clone stamp tool to make the edges of the overlaid banner more cohesive with the rock pedastle infront of the house.
